Worrying about vaccinations, fever, or cough especially at this time. What kind of parents would they want to be? A lot is there to figure out. Then there is decorating the baby room,
baby-proofing the apartment, and whatnot.

Day-1 as a parent
Most important thing is to trust yourself and the process. You and your partner become a parent, the day you get the good news. Trust your partner. Spend time with each other discussing roles, attending classes. Get handy in advance with baby diapering, baby proofing, breastfeeding sessions, doctor’s appointments, and everything.
Proper nourishment and health-check
Despite having a busy schedule of work and meetings, you have to find the time to take care of your health. Complement your breakfast with vitamins and good fats. A balanced diet will increase breast milk supply and lactation.
Talk to your doctor about foods that increase lactation like Nuts, a mixture of garlic, onion, and mint, and herbs like fenugreek. After your child is born you would daily need 300-400 calories, to increase breast milk production and supply.
Reading and relaxing
We know you have got a lot on your plate! Research shows that if you read out to your baby during pregnancy, they can inculcate the same. It will help them in developing language and
remembering words. Studies have found a correlation between reading and the intellectual mind. Relax in your easy chair and get plenty of vitamin-A, while reading to your child. Involve your partner in the same.
Advice for both parents
As much as a mom has to take care of and connect with the baby during pregnancy. It is the duty of a would-be daddy too! This is when you can connect with your baby by making them feel your warmth and presence. Helping her in daily exercises and yoga sessions so that she never feels alone and stays stress-free.
Regular checking upon her diet and hydration levels so that mommy and the baby both are properly nourished. This is the time when her body can increase breast milk supply and help during the breastfeeding and lactation period.
